I bake when I can't really quiet my brain.  I have a lot going on internally right now - good stuff - and so, I've been in the kitchen quite a bit.
This weekend, we have burned through 1 and a half pounds of butter and a pound of flour.  I'm so healthy. :)
There's pumpkin cake in the freezer, salted brown butter rice krispie treats on the counter, and cooling on a rack: homemade pop tarts.  Fo' rlz.  I really recommend the pop tart recipe, but I would like to do you this favor:  Go ahead and double it.  You'll regret it if you don't.
